Okey, things are settling down a bit from the wedding. I still need to move so I may not be around a bunch for a while longer until my computer gets hooked up. I'm lurking if I'm not posting though.

I am getting an itch to work on my fic again (I did an Earth X one this week for a break, and I'm working on an Ultimate one again, oy!). I'm looking for a beta reader or two for the rewrite I did of my story about Nighty in the CDC. I need eyes other than my own to look for spelling, grammar and continuity errors, as well as specific feedback on the plot and characterization. This story has the same name, "Shadow Man," but is a lot different from the original. Now for a couple of warnings:

1- Parts of the original are still in it, though much of it has been reworked to remove the stupid factor. always a problem with a blonde writer. Also, writing in chunks over months created a lot of problems. Part of an earlier vignette I wrote was worked into it as well.

2- It's a novella, sooo it's a lot longer than the original. I mean, a lot. Printed in the proper format, the old version was about 30 pages. This rewrite is more than 100 pages. Yes, you read that right.

As I hear the patter of fleeing feet, I will ask if there's any takers. Given the size of the file -- and since I don't want to spoil the surprise for everyone -- I'm not going to post it. I'll email drafts to interested elfies, or I can post teasers to see if it piques anyone's interest.

Once it's edited, redited and I'm happy with it, I'll put it up in html on my site and post the link here and to Outside the Lines at CFAN. Anybody here at the monument who archives fic can have it too. Just let me know.

His brow arched. "Are you okay?"

"Damn Kurt! I could'ave killed you!"

"That, I doubt." He smiled. "Well, I think I just took another case off my tab to you."

Perhaps I'm misreading your story, but I found two passages quite hilarious...

First, Kurt hiding in the tree and Logan disappearing (now, where have I read that before?) - second, the ?Looking for me?? (every time I read that I hear the voice from the animated series).


Well, well - I would love to ? this story, but I cannot promise my reading will help you out in any way. But, if the writer pleases, I'd like to volunteer.
